Engaging in volunteer work brings a deep sense of personal fulfillment, as you actively participate in programs that uplift and support those in need, experiencing the gratification of making a tangible difference in others’ lives.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Faith in Action volunteer driver
- Food to Families food box packing
- Mini food pantry monitor
- youth sports coach (seasonal)
- Older adult tech help volunteer
- administrative support
- special events
- property/maintenance
Food packing, mini pantry monitoring and special events are child-friendly opportunities with proper parental supervision.
All prospective volunteers must register below and answer the following questions. The Y uses this information to help make the best volunteer matches. All volunteers be required to attend a volunteer training session. Volunteer roles that include working directly with children will require additional background screenings and trainings.
2025 Turkey Trot Volunteer Opportunities
The Turkey Trot is powered by volunteers before, during and after the race! Below are the available volunteer roles and shifts. Most roles are also youth-friendly with a parent or guardian present.
