Our team at the Y are certified Senior Home Safety Specialists!  Let us share our knowledge with you so that you can learn more about what you can do to identify areas of your home that can be evaluated to make sure that you can age safely in your home.   Join us as we discuss fall risks, fire safety, home technology, and crime prevention.

Come dressed in your comfy lounge clothes or pajamas and join us for pancakes as we warm our souls building community with each other and building puzzles.  If puzzle pieces are not your thing, we will have crossword and word search puzzles as well.  You are welcome to bring a brunch item if you like, just remember to check in with Kara at 412-741-9622 x131 to let her know what you would like to bring!

Join us for a Valentine Party and wear your red as we explore the nutritional value of our food and become more aware of how we can make better food choices for our heart health.

Join us for an informative session on how to plan for long-term care and the next step in preparation for yourself and your estate/assets.  Needing to downsize?  We can talk with you about what steps you can take to begin the process of how to pair down your home.

B4 you yell, make sure you have B-I-N-G-O!  Join us for bagels and some bingo fun!  Don’t forget to bring your lucky charms!

Discover how music can support health, memory, and emotional well-being in this engaging musical social. We will explore how different types of music can help reduce stress, improve mood, and encourage connection with others. No musical experience is needed—just a love of music and an open mind.

Join us as we use memory games to work our brain muscles to keep them sharp and healthy!  We will also provide resources and information regarding Dementia and Memory Care living facilities.

Even if you don’t have a green thumb, join us for some flower fun!  Let us know about your best gardening tips! We will provide “starter cups”, soil, and seeds and will also cover how to safely re-pot an already blooming plant.

Don your big hat and join us for some horsing around!  We will engage in some seated games and get our horses to the finish line! Let’s see if you have what it takes to win the race and get that Gold Cup!

Bunco or Yatzee anyone?  If you don’t know how to play, don’t worry, we’ll teach you!  Enjoy veggie pizza with your favorite “diced” toppings as we play along and dice it up a bit!

Join us for some sweet treat fun as we decorate cookies together and prepare our spirits for the holiday season!  You are welcome to bring your own cookies or decoration supplies if you have dietary restrictions.  Bags will be provided so you can gift your creations or take them home.
